The new pull

The first pull on the BTPA calendar is on the 23rd + 24th of May at Shropshire show (SY1 2PF) with a full complement of pullers from a wide variety of classes. Pulling starts around noon both days

NWTPC at the Autosport Show NEC

The NWTPC are to have a stand at the Autosport Show at the NEC on January 10 + 11th 2015 . Come and visit us on Stand 9320 where you will be able to see the twin RR Griffon powered Snoopy Tractor from the Whittingham Team , plus meet and chat to members of our club about The World's Most Powerful Motorsport . Sad news

It is with great sadness the club learns of the passing of one of our founder members Ken Smith.

Ken had been involved in the NWTPC since it began back in 1979. His Tractor named Lancashire Lady with chryslers then Chevy's on was one of the first "powerful" mods in the UK.

 He was then the first in the UK to build a 2wd. The Legend and Hero was a crowd favourite and was recently brought back to the track by Kens son Edd

Ken was never shy of speaking his mind , and Club meetings with him were always colourful but fun! It was his drive and passion for the sport that helped to get the Club to where it is today. He was still in the background checking up on the committee at the Show pull this year 

Ken , you will be missed by the pulling world, but especially by all of us in the NWTPC.

Our thoughts are with His Family at this time 

Kens Funeral will be held On the 7th of Oct at 10am

Start times for the tractor pull at Great Eccleston 

Saturday night we will start at 4 pm, gates will open at 3 pm.

Sunday we will start at 11 am, gates will open at 10 am.

Looking for somewhere to dine in the area, we recommend the Farmer Arms seafood and grill situated in Great Eccleston Village and in walking distance from the tractor pull, serving pub classics and cask ales.

Going over the pond

David Jones has been busy over the Winter.. He is Competing in the NTPA Truck and Tractor Pulling Supperstock class with the Silver beast that pulled at Great Eccleston last year Controlled chaos... At the mo the David and the team are out in the USA getting the tractor ready for its first pull.. Good Luck "smokey" from all of us at the NWTPC

British BTPA Championships

24th & 25th August 2013

Held on the show field at Great Eccleston

Saturday- Start time 5pm, 

Sunday Start time 11am

Classes PPA including Gardens, Compact Diesels, Mini's A&B Classes

Super Farm, Under 401 Prostock, Prostock, Super Stock, 3.5T Modified

Guests include some of the best Dutch and French teams Including 

In the Prostock Class

• Rocky, Bad Boys Toys, Froggy, Red Nex

• In the Modified Class

  • Baby Duck,  Le Redoutable, Double D 

    Come along and see the brit's fight it out and lets see who comes out on top

    Gates open at 4pm on Saturday night, and 10am on Sunday morning.

  All classes will be run both days

  We expect to finish about 11pm on the Saturday, and 6.30pm on the Sunday

  Under 5 are free

  Please do not bring alcohol in with you, the security will confiscate it, you can buy packs from the beer tent at a really good price. 

  All advance tickets bought on the internet will be available for collection from the prepaid booth on the day.

US Tractor to Pull at Great Eccelston

The US American Super Stock Open tractor Controlled Chaos is coming to Great Eccleston. The team from Pennsylvania (USA) won the NTPA Grand National Title in SS Open class last year. This year they have decided  to see what pulling is like over the pond! 

The NWTPC are pleased to announce that Kevin wanted to come and see what pulling is all about in the UK. And where better to come and pull than at Great Eccleston.
Kevin and the team will be Joining us for the Show pull on July 13th + 14th to fight it out with Europe's Top Supperstocks.

Social Night

The next club social night is on Saturday the 6th of April, 7.30pm at the Pavilion Guys, Tickets £7.50 each and include food (pizza's to be supplied by Guys). Have been invited to represent the NW club over at the European superpull after teething problems with there new methanol powered V12 machine at Great Eccleston lets hope they get some good runs in over at Ahoy with both tractors..
